Cassava Flour Tortillas

Craving some Mexican food tonight but don't feel like a belly full of bloat? Try making these grain-free tortillas, to keep you and your digestion happy.

  • 3/4 cup Cassava flour

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • Pinch of salt


  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt

  • Add the olive oil and water

  • Knead until the mixture is smooth and forms a dough

  • Divide and roll into golfball-sized balls

  • Place each ball between two pieces of parchment paper and roll out with a rolling pin (should you have a tortilla press, use that!)

  • Heat a dry pan over medium heat (do NOT add oil)

  • Once the pan is hot, place the tortilla into it

  • Wait until bubbles form and then flip

  • Wait until bubbles form on this side, too

  • Watch for the sides to be browned

  • Enjoy!
